Design Info

The information below is related to the jersey design process and may be useful to review to better understand design creation.

  • Sublimation – Jerseys are created using sublimation printing. Sublimation is a process by which inks are permanently heat transferred into fabric.
  • Vector – Vector file formats are preferred for jersey printing. High resolution image files can sometimes be used if vector is unavailable.
  • Adobe Illustrator –Jersey design is done using Adobe Illustrator graphics software, which is the preferred file format.
  • Pantones– Colors are printed using the Pantone Matching System.
  • Unlimited Colors – Jersey designs can use unlimited colors. There are no costs or fees for colors (or for anything else!)
  • Unlimited Print Area –Jerseys can be printed on 100% of the jersey surface at no additional charge.
  • Seams – It is recommended that design elements do not cross seams. Alignment across a seam cannot be guaranteed.
  • Bleed / Background / Cropping – A small amount of fabric may be cut or sewn into the seam at the edge of each panel. For this reason, it is recommended that all graphics contain a bleed or extended print area that may be trimmed… i.e. don’t run logos or core graphics to the edge of a panel.
